JOURNEY OF HOPE CONTINUES/ GIVE JACOB A CHANCE FUNDRAISER--On September 12th from 2pm-7pm we will be cosponsoring a fundraiser at 115 Bourbon Street 3359 W. 115th Street. There will be food, great raffle and silent auction prizes, and activities for the kids. Tickets are $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for 6-20 year olds. LEMONT CLASSIC CAR CLUB CAR AND BIKE SHOW
--On Sunday, August 8th, form 12pm-6pm the Lemont Classic Car Club will be hosting a car and motorcycle show fundraiser at the Montefiori Event Center in Lemont, IL. This should be a huge event with top notch entertainment throughout the day, food, games, and prizes. Cost is just $7.00 a car load for entry to the event. If you would like to enter a bike or car cost is $10.00 pre-registration and $15.00 at the door. 7th ANNUAL SOB POKER RUN--On Sunday July 25th, we will be hosting our 7th annual SOB motorcycle run. Cost will once again be $15.00 per rider and $10.00 per passenger. Registration is from 9am-11am at camp. First bike will be out at 11:00am. Our last stop and after party will be at the American Legion in Lockport, Il, 15052 Archer Avenue. Non riders are welcome to join the after party for a $10.00 donation, which includes food. Entertainment will once again be provided by the awesome band....THE DANCING NOODLES! 2nd ANNUAL DINNER DANCE A ROARING SUCCESS-On Sunday, May 2nd Shady Oaks held its 2nd annual dinner dance at ruffled feathers golf course in Lemont. We had almost 100 people turnout for this years event! A special thank you goes out Andromeda for becoming our VIP sponsor and to Kathy and Sheila for all your hard work on the beautiful raffle baskets, silent auction items, and just all around organization. We would also like to thank girl scout troop #75 for the beautiful jelly bean center pieces and our awesome band for the evening, FULL CIRCLE! Most of all we would like to thank all of you who attended and made this years event a great success! Hope to see you at next years event which looks to be bigger and even better!

IS BACK AND BETTER THEN EVER-After
much searching we have finally found a new location for bingo. We are happy to
announce that starting Thursday, February 4th we will be playing bingo at the
American Legion in Lockport. Yep, that's right we are finally playing bingo
close to camp! Doors will open at 5:00pm with the games starting at 7:00pm. We will
be playing computers and paper (with dabbers). Assistance will be provided for
those who are new to computers. Pulltabs will be sold throughout the night. All Shady Oaks Players Club members from
past locations will be honored. Format for games is available by clicking on

I-GIVE.COM-It doesn't cost anything all you have to is sign up and specify you are shopping for Shady Oaks Camp. They give a percentage of every purchase to camp. It is not only a holiday thing, you can shop year round and work for donations. All of the stores are ones you have heard of...Best buy, sears, Barnes and Noble, E-bay, Dell, Lands End, etc. The only catch is you need to go through the I-give site before you start shopping so they can keep records of purchases made through there site (guess this is so they can prove to the sponsors it is worth paying to be on there site). It is 100% legit and safe. All I-Give is, is the middle man......you shop at the actual online stores. For example: You want a DVD, you normally go through Bestbuy.com and earn nothing for the charity. With I-give you log-in to the website and then go to Bestbuy.com and a percentage of your purchase goes to camp. It is that easy. We have gotten several checks from them the past few years but nothing real big because most people forget to log-in first. They will also give you the option of downloading the I-give shopping window as a reminder. All this is is a box that pops up and says you are shopping at an I-give approved website to remind you that you can earn money for your charity.
ESCRIP- is an important part of our fundraising program. We ask that every family help us make the grade in our fundraising goal. Shady Oaks Camp needs your support! It will only take a few minutes but will make a huge difference to camp. All you need is your Dominick's or Safeway Card number and a couple of spare minutes. Log onto www.eScrip.com . Enter our group ID number (500017566). You can also register your debit and credit cards. Once registered all you have to do is Shop at eScrip (merc_dominicks.pdf) merchants! When you use your eScrip registered cards for purchase a percentage of the purchases will be automatically contributed by the merchant to SOC. That’s it! It’s that easy----your family shops and SOC earns money! It doesn't cost a thing to register and you can also download the eScrip shopping window which helps alert you to stores that belong to eScrip. eScrip uses card numbers and purchase activity solely to process the contributions generated by the purchases. The card numbers are kept confidential by eScrip and are disclosed only to the participating merchants to calculate rebates.
