BINGO IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!- Our
new location looks to be very promising. It is in a state of the art hall in Addison,
IL. It is fully accessible and has a huge lit parking lot. We will be
having our grand opening Sunday,
November 27th. The hall opens at 3:00pm and games start at 6:00pm. The
name of the hall is Gold Strike Bingo (800 S. Rohlwing Rd. Addison, Illinois
60101) and
their website is http://www.goldstrikeaddison.com/index.html.
To make this fundraiser a success we need all the help we can get. Ideally, we
would like to have teams each week so the same people don't have to work every
week. If you can volunteer a day a month every month or just every so often
please contact Mary Pisano at 708-532-1916, or agnesmpisano@hotmail.com.
Please tell everyone you know so we can get as many volunteers as possible! If
you can't volunteer then how about you come on out and play and win some big
bucks! Remember, this will count toward volunteer requirements for
membership. If bingo is successful it will eventually help lower the cost of
camp, and who doesn't want that! : ) Thanks a bunch and hope to see you all
soon!
I-GIVE.COM-It doesn't cost anything all you have to is sign up and specify you are shopping for Shady Oaks Camp. They give a percentage of every purchase to camp. It is not only a holiday thing, you can shop year round and work for donations. All of the stores are ones you have heard of...Best buy, sears, Barnes and Noble, E-bay, Dell, Lands End, etc. The only catch is you need to go through the I-give site before you start shopping so they can keep records of purchases made through there site (guess this is so they can prove to the sponsors it is worth paying to be on there site). It is 100% legit and safe. All I-Give is, is the middle man......you shop at the actual online stores. For example: You want a DVD, you normally go through Bestbuy.com and earn nothing for the charity. With I-give you log-in to the website and then go to Bestbuy.com and a percentage of your purchase goes to camp. It is that easy. We have gotten several checks from them the past few years but nothing real big because most people forget to log-in first. They will also give you the option of downloading the I-give shopping window as a reminder. All this is is a box that pops up and says you are shopping at an I-give approved website to remind you that you can earn money for your charity.
